Hsing (3/7/2006) wrote that Many of the 'traditional' Chinese demons are not originated from religion at all. They in fact originated largely from many folklore and ghost stories, but have become part of the Chinese beliefs and the mythology system. There were many Chinese troublemakers like the monkey king as he at one point angered the gods by boasting arrogantly about how he was the emperor of all the gods.
